Refund policy

Open Quill Ghostwriting - Payment and Cancellation Policy

Effective October 4, 2026. This policy applies to new Open Quill Ghostwriting service agreements and payments made under those agreements. It does not retroactively change the terms of previous Open Quill Book Awards purchases.

Agree the project before paying

We confirm the project scope, deliverables, payment milestones, and schedule in writing before requesting payment. Please review your agreement and private invoice before paying. An initial inquiry or consultation does not purchase a writing service.

No refunds

Payments, including deposits, booking payments, and milestone payments, are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. A change of mind, a decision not to publish, or a client-requested cancellation does not create a refund entitlement under this policy.

No transfers

Payments and reserved services are non-transferable. They cannot be assigned or transferred to another person, author, book, project, or service.

Cancellations, pauses, and scope changes

Send cancellation or pause requests in writing to writer@openquillghostwriting.com. Any scheduling or scope change must be confirmed in writing. Revisions and additional work are governed by your project agreement; they are not unlimited unless expressly included.

Invoice questions and billing errors

If you believe an invoice or charge is incorrect, contact us promptly so we can investigate. Do not pay an invoice with a disputed amount until the details have been clarified. This policy does not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any refund required by applicable law.
